Peace can be understood as ‘lack of noise’ or ‘absence of war;’ however,  the word Shalom means much more! Shalom encompasses well-being, prosperity of soul and body, and even perfection.  It actively places chaos under authority and transcends understanding. It invites heavenly angels on Shabbat. In Israel, it is ‘hello’ and people greet each other with “How is your Shalom?”
